Towing Options

Flatbed towing is the most popular and commonly used, but we do have other options as well. Feel free to request specific types of tow trucks if you would like. In most cases we should be able to accommodate your request, especially if you have a specialty vehicle or need a unique type of tow and can schedule it ahead of time. Most times flatbed towing is the best option, so that is what we will provide unless specified otherwise. No matter the reason for the tow, Redondo Beach Towing can come to the rescue. All types of tow trucks and towing accessories are included when you utilize our excellent services.

Hook and chain tow trucks were previously one of the more common tow truck options, and we still have a few of these in our fleet today. If you want this type of truck specifically, just let us know. This truck typically involves the use of chains to lift the front or rear axle of the vehicle to allow it to be towed. It would then have either the front of back wheels of the vehicle being towed on the pavement.

We also offer wheel-lift tow trucks, which are a good option in between flatbed tow trucks and hook and chain tow trucks. They are smaller and easier to get around, and can still offer the option to completely lift the vehicle off the ground, so as to not have to use its wheels on the street when driving it. We can provide a dolly to support the other end of the car that is not lifted, so that the vehicle does not have to tough the street at all. Those are the three main options when it comes to relatively basic towing needs. The majority of local tows can easily be handled by one of these options. And pretty much anytime we get a call for a tow request, we will have one of these tow trucks sent out to help you.

We do have a few other unique tow trucks available, mostly upon requests. They are used more for specialty cars or very rare circumstances where other options may be needed. We have a few heavy-duty tow trucks, off-road tow trucks, and boom trucks. Each one is used mainly for specific situations in which something more powerful is needed. Heavy-duty trucks are utilized mainly for towing very large and heavy vehicles, such as a bus or commercial truck, so they need to be built in such a way to be able to handle that immense weight. Off-road trucks have four wheel drive and are built a bit higher and also include other specialty equipment, and are used mostly for mountainous terrains and handling rough conditions like excessive snow, sand, or mud.

And boom trucks are probably the most rare of them all, since they are used for many other things besides just towing. But they can be utilized if the situation calls for it, to be able to lift the truck completely with a hydraulic arm, usually used when moving a very heavy and large immovable object, perhaps after some devastating accidents where cars are completely wrecked. If you need a tow, we have what it takes, and can provide any vehicle needed to get the job done.
